Muqawama is the Arabic word for resistance. Within BTZEK, it represents the refusal to surrender identity, voice, culture, or humanity in the face of oppression. It is resistance expressed through art, awareness, conversation, and steadfastness—the belief that sometimes simply refusing to disappear is itself an act of defiance. MUQAWAMA. Resist silence.
